Absolutely love this place. Came here several times with my husband, mummy and friends.💕 Highly recommend as a breakfast and brunch destination. The sizes of the plate are huge, and the prices are reasonable! Love it! 😍
Love this place. It's a bit out of my way so I don't go often, but whenever I'm in Palatine I absolutely have to stop in for a tuna melt and some sweet potato fries. Great service and even better food!
The Bread and Butter Cafe is an excellent breakfast eatery. The modern interior combined with excellent service makes for an enjoyable atmosphere. I was greeted with a smile from the moment that I entered the restaurant and seated immediately. Not long after being seated a waiter came and offered my father and I coffee. My father said that the medium roast coffee was enjoyable and the waiter never let it become empty. Our food came in an extremely timely manor. The presentation of the food was immaculate. Their signature french toast had a vibrant appearance; the orange color really made it pop off of the plate. Their bacon had a tasteful, smokey flavor to it and their sausage links were very tasty as well. The buttermilk pancakes were also delicious and were a perfect combination of thick and fluffy. Overall the service was great and food was spectacular. If you and your family are looking for a great breakfast place, the Bread and Butter Cafe is the place to be!
This place is a gem! Delicious food down to the endless coffee. The corn beef hash is the best I've ever had! The eggs were very fresh unlike other breakfast places where they taste artificial. Hands down will be coming back.
Outside seating! We visit multiple days a week for breakfast for the great service, including an amazingly fast kitchen. Their potatoes are the best around--tender inside and crispy outside. One of our favs is the Country Fried Steak. Try the biscuits and gravy too!!!
I was very pleased by the food at Bread & Butter Cafe. My omelet was very good, and a reasonable portion size. They have a wide variety of pancakes, waffles, french toast, etc. with a variety of toppings. They even have gluten free pancakes. Staff were friendly and helpful, and service was quick. The outdoor seating was a pleasant way to limit exposure, as well. I can solidly recommend Bread & Butter Cafe.
Wonderful, tasty, and very reasonably priced breakfast! We went here and ordered corn beef hash and #5 combo (cinnamon French toast + 2 eggs + has browns + 2 bacons). The service was fast and our server was so incredibly kind. Bread & Butter Cafe has a very comfy and cozy ambiance. We will be coming back!
Surprisingly this was not our first choice for breakfast, but should have been. Nice cozy diner with great breakfast. Everything was well seasoned and had great flavors, we devoured everything! Will definitely be on our list! Had lots of specials that sounded delicious, I only wish I could have eaten more.

So many good choices, but the corned hash skillet with poached eggs i picked was puuuurfect! Caffe hit the spot too. But most importantly the staff were verry attentive and work super hard!!
